RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS
Revelstoke Acrobats is committed to promoting the mental and physical health and well being of all its members.
The Club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, Board members and parents associated with Revelstoke Acrobats should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
Age and Grade of Athlete

Our classes are set up as follows:
✔️ Preschool Classes - age specific
✔️ Primary Classes - age specific based on school grade
✔️ Teen Classes - grade and gender specific
Please do not register your athlete above or below their age or grade regardless of age, ability or maturity.
We can not guarantee placement in a more appropriate class if there are no spaces left after registration has been completed if you register your athlete in the wrong class.
To promote fairness, you may register your child for ONE recreational trampoline class only.
If your child is invited to a competitive class, please do not register that child for a recreational class, as space is limited.
Clothing is ONLY available at registration. All clothing ordered according to pre-purchase and we don’t carry extra stock for resale.
RECREATIONAL CLASSES

Parent & Tot - walking/pre-school

A program for parents and tots who want to play at the gym. Parents play an active role in this free-play oriented class.
With the guidance of a certified coach, you will assist your little athlete to swing, climb, jump, roll and balance as they move around the gymnastics and trampoline equipment.
One adult (16 years or older) accompanies the child as they discover what their body can do, and how to have fun jumping into the foam pit, and bouncing on the trampolines.
Children in this class will also be building on the very important social skill of working with a group and taking turns.
Comfortable clothing with no buttons or zippers is recommended - your child is best in bare feet.
Please register each child who will be participating.

Big Kids - Ages 3-4

NEW this year, a program for kids who want to play at the gym and are ready for a bit more instruction from their coach and less parent involvement than our Parent & Tot class.
With the guidance of a certified coach, little athletes will learn to jump, climb, roll, swing and balance as they move around the gymnastics and trampoline equipment.
Parents/adults are encouraged to stay during the class to support their child as they explore and discover what their body can do, and how to have fun jumping into the foam pit, and bounce on the trampolines with the guidance from our coach.
Comfortable clothing with no buttons or zippers is recommended - your child is best in bare feet.

Teen Program - Grade 8-12

We are very happy to welcome teens into our gym for some evening jumping. These classes will be 45 minutes of trampoline and foam pit fun.
We ensure each child will learn at their own level and their own speed.

Primary Rec Program

We ensure each child will learn at their own level and their own speed.
As they move through the program, they will be taught by certified coaches who use progressions to ensure safe skill development.
From cartwheels and somersaults to trampolines, your child will have a fun filled session and gain valuable lessons in strength, flexibility, spatial awareness, co-ordination, discipline and determination.

Tumbling

Grade 2 - Grade 4 - Wednesday 5:30-6:15pm
***This program is Tumbling only . NO TRAMPOLINES***
Your child will be taught by certified coaches to cartwheel, handstand and more on our Air floors. We have a fantastic array of equipment to challenge your athletes acrobatic floor skills.
As they move through the program they will be taught by progressions to ensure safe skill development at all times.
Cartwheels, somersaults, walkovers and back handsprings your child will have a fun filled session while gaining valuable lessons in strength, flexibility, co-ordination, discipline and determination.
This a fun filled, high energy class!!
