Revelstoke Acrobats is fully committed to promoting the well being of all members.
The club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, board members and parents associated with Revelstoke Acrobats should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.

Code of conduct
Members are encouraged to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about an aspect of the Club according to the ‘Complaint Protocol’.
ATHLETES SHALL:
be friendly, supportive and welcoming to all Club members
treat athletes, coaches, staff and other members with courtesy and respect
behave and listen to instructions from the coaches and assistants
respect the rights and dignity of all participants regardless of age, gender or ability
refrain from bullying whether in person or electronically (social media)
show team spirit, loyalty and be a team player
take pride, care and be proud of the training facility
be punctual, productive and positive at all times
refrain from using phones or electronic devices at any time during training
PARENTS SHALL:
remember that their child trains in this facility for his or her own enjoyment and benefit
be friendly, supportive and welcoming to all club members
treat athletes, coaches, staff and other members with courtesy and respect
teach their child that doing their best is more important that winning
offer praise to their child for doing their best
not give instructions to athletes while training
never ridicule their child for making a mistake or losing a competition
not approach a coach during training time
COACHES SHALL:
strive to maintain a respectful and positive environment for all athletes, coaches, staff and other members
encourage good sportsmanship and teamwork for all athletes
keep the athlete’s best interests in mind when delivering any training program
be punctual, productive and positive at all times
respect the rights and dignity of all participants regardless of age, gender or ability
treat athletes, parents, staff and other members with courtesy and respect
refrain from using phones or electronic devices at any time during training
Class Cancellation Policy
Revelstoke Acrobats is fully committed to promoting the well being of all members.
We understand that at times, an athlete will enter our program and the decide that they no longer wish to participate or no longer can participate due to other obligations.
Please familiarize yourself with our Program Withdrawal Policy so you know what to expect when you remove your child from our program.
Program Withdrawal policy
Cancellation of classes may be done within the first 3 weeks of class session start date.
The Registrar revelstokeacrobatsregistrar@gmail.com and Head Coach revelstokeacrobats@gmail.com must be informed within that 3 week period from class session start date.
A pro-rated credit or refund will then be applied to the members account.
GymBC insurance fees are applied to all athletes at registration and are a none refundable fee.
Please see our policy below:
(A) Within the first 2 weeks of a session:
-All GymBC fees (insurance) are not eligible for refund.
-A registered participant may withdraw from a Revelstoke Acrobats Club (RAC) program within the first three weeks of a class session without providing a reason.
-A written notice informing the Registrar (revelstokeacrobatsregistrar@gmail.com) or the Head Coach (revelstokeacrobats@gmail.com) of the withdrawal is required prior to the end of the first 3 weeks of the class session.
-Pro-rated RAC registration fees will be either refunded or credited to the participant.
(B) After the first 2 weeks of a session:
-All GymBC fees (insurance) are not eligible for refund.
-Pro-rated RAC registration fees will be either refunded or credited to the participant provided the following conditions are met:
- A written notice informing the Registrar (revelstokeacrobatsregistrar@gmail.com) or the Head Coach (revelstokeacrobats@gmail.com) of the withdrawal has been provided.
-The participant has a note from a medical doctor, or,
-The participant is moving away from Revelstoke, or,
-There are special circumstances where the Board of Directors grants permission.
Complaint Protocol
Revelstoke Acrobats is fully committed to promoting the well being of all members.
The club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, board members and parents associated with Revelstoke Acrobats should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
A volunteer Board of Directors works to run Revelstoke Acrobats to the best of their ability. We encourage all members to have their concerns addressed by following the Complaint Protocol.
The Complaint Protocol is confidential and without prejudice towards the athlete or family.
FILLING A COMPLAINT
If you have a complaint or concern, please follow the outlined steps:
Privately discuss the issue with your child’s Coach at an appropriate time, outside of training time or when the Coach is not training other athletes.
If the concern cannot be resolved by your child’s Coach, you can then privately approach the Head Coach by email - revelstokeacrobats@gmail.com. We will work to quickly set up an appropriate time to discuss your concerns.
If the Head Coach is unable to resolve the problem, the issue will be presented to the Personnel Committee for discussion. Please email - revelstokeacrobatschair@gmail.com
A meeting will be set up between the athlete (if appropriate), parent, coach and Personnel Committee to discuss a resolution.
Minutes of this meeting will be taken and reviewed by all parties to assure proper documentation.
If a concern arises that must go directly to the Board of Directors, members are encouraged to contact the Personnel Committee.
